Alt Support is a unique service that offers a blend between Personal assistant and wellness coaching. Matching you to the right person, whether you require companionship, support or assistance with your health, our team of highly trained coaches are here to help.
You "the client" will have complete access to our training facility where you will work on you EHC plan and your own personal wellness goals. We believe movement is medicine and in combination with buddy system and support from our community, you will not only lead a better and healthier life and also make some friends along the way.
Based around community access and health and nutrition, Alt support promotes inclusion and independence for those who have day to day struggles with access the community and building healthy relationships with their health and other aspects of their life.
Alt support is person centred led approach and the goal is to provide a high quality service to those in need and improve quality of life, enhancing wellbeing and development of the individual.
Feedback we have receive from a community survey of clients with any form of disability it very important to the client and ourselves that their support package are bespoke to the client needs and wishes .

Health and Well being
Movement is medicine
For disabled people everywhere accessing appropriate inclusive gyms can be challenging, that's why at alt support we aim to not only support the individual in their day to day lives but also their health and fitness too. All of our staff are also fully qualified personal trainers who specialise in adaptive training and will support the client with their individual healthcare plan.
Benefits of group and 1:1 training
The best thing about group training is that its led by an expert adaptive coaches, Unlike going solo in the gym or at home, attending a class is the next best thing to having a personal trainer, making it a really affordable way to spend time with someone who can help you achieve your fitness goals!

Vocational opportunities
We will get to know you and together we will complete a vocational profile to establish your skills, experience, and personal employment goals. If you’re not quite ready for paid employment, we will signpost and support you to get additional skills and experience. We will support you through the job application and interview process and then provide on the job coaching for as long as it takes for you to become confident in their role.

Jason's story
Jason started with us when he was just 15 years old, and after 6 years he is now working alongside the team as an assistant coach where he supports other individuals with disabilities. Jay, who is deaf and has cerebral palsy, has first hand experience what is like to face certain challenges in life when is comes to finding employment and accessing the community as a person with a disability.
Craig's Story
Craig acquired a brain injury at the age of 3 which left him unable to use the right side of his body and along with difficulties communicating. Craig is now a huge part of the Alt family and is also now competing in adaptive sports. This has not only helped Craig to become stronger and fitter but also helped him in developing strong connections and making lifelong friends.

Lauren's Story
Laurens life was turned upside-down when she developed sepsis, which resulted in her becoming a double lower limb amputee. After hearing about Alt and joining our community she was determined to get her life back on track and become the best version of herself. Working alongside our team Lauren has come on in leaps and bounds and now has the confidents and strong mindset to turn her disability in to an ability.
